Knowing how to paint portraits is a very good skill to have as an artist, so why not practice it whilst painting your idol. Chances are this person is also quite famous so when you share your fan art on social media it might do well. Win win!
2. POP ART STYLE
Painting something in a pop art style is often easier, done quicker and still looks really cool. When you are done you will also feel better because you have finished something PLUS you will feel more motivated as an artist.
3. YOUR HAIRY BEST FRIEND
Turning your pet into a painting is not only fun, it will also make for a memory you will never forget. It is also good to know how to paint hair and since most animals have a lot of hair, you will develop that skill whether you like it or not.
4. LANDSCAPES
Have you ever seen Bob Ross paint a amazing landscape and leave you really impressed? Yes.. well we have all experienced that. Now imagine you being able to paint beautiful landscapes that will have the same effect on others. Sounds fun right! And the best thing is that painting a landscape doesn't have to take that long so you will feel the satisfaction in no time!
(Fun tip! If possible, use a landscape photo you made on holiday so your painting is a original)
5. STILL LIFE
Grab objects, grab all your creativity and put the objects together in a stunning composition. Then paint it and VOILA! You have made a great original piece of art which.. secretely.. was also pretty fun to make.
6. ONE LINE DRAWING
This is a fun and creative way of creating, it doesn’t need to be perfect, in fact it can be as ugly as you want. Then the next time you go to draw you’ll never feel bad because it’ll always be better than that one.
